Provenance: Spain.
Bottom margin stained from water damage; lower outside corner torn away.
Long lines ruled in brown ink, rulings doubled along sides, bottom and top; text under
staves, 6 staves per page.
Script: Gothic in black ink, rubrics in red; distinctive line fillers in red: horizontal bar
forms alternating with a lozenge pattern. Music: Square notation on 5-line red staves 35 mm
high.
Other Decoration: Decorative initials, height of text plus staff: one in red embellished
with purple filigree pen work; other initials in black with heavy strap work washed in yellow or
green.
Notes: Original folitation on recto top right margin in red: .xli. ; quire signature on
recto lower outer margin in black ink: f.j. Latin.
